In 2019, Davide Marin applied to A’Design Award & Competition, one of the most prestigious and influential design accolade, with the patented New LumiFold project , for an innovative space-saving, portable and foldable 3D printer, never seen before.

For this disruptive project, he has been awarded the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award for Manufacturing and Processing Machinery Design Category.

An inventor’s journey

“ I like most the part where you start with just an idea, and develop it into a working prototype. My working prototype many times have already 80% of the look of the final product, and are already thought with production in mind, so I do not have to do a lot of iterations. At this point, I like to handle the project to the company for the final touches, documentation, and production, and for me to start a fresh new one.”
